VTU Resume Form Filling Steps

1] Open Google Chrome Browser in your System.

2] Type the following address in URL bar https://resume.vtu.ac.in

3] Welcome Page is Loaded as shown in the figure below

4] Click on the Login here Button to go to College Login Page.

5] The Login Page is loaded, as shown in the figure below.

6] Enter College Code ( Ex: VX_VTU), password received through Email/Mobile and click the login button.

7] The Pre-filled example page is shown below in figure

8] Once logged in successfully, you will be redirected to the College home page as shown in the figure Below

9] The following options are available on the college home page.

  • To enter a new resume, click on the Resume Entry button.
  • To search/view/update an existing resume, click on the Search Resume button.
  • To print an existing resume, click on the Print resume button

10] In Resume Statistics Tab shown in Figure 8 will show the count of resumes entered branch-wise.

11] To enter a new resume, click on the Resume Entry button located on-page, you will be redirected to the resume entry page.

  • Fill in All details of students precisely with maximum care.
  • Go through all details before clicking on the Register button.
  • Aadhar number of the student is to be entered to avail better e-services from the university and other Government agencies.

12] A pre-filled resume is shown in the figure below.

13] After submitting a resume, a Resume ID is generated, as shown below.

  • Any queries regarding a particular resume have to be made by mentioning the Resume ID followed by College Code and need to be mailed by Principal /Co-Ordinator of College.

14] College Co-ordinator can take the resume application printout immediately after submitting resume by clicking on the Print Application button, as shown in Figure 13

Note: Resume Printout's Need to Maintained in college office for future references.

15] In the Search Resume page, you will be able to View / Update / Print the resume Branch wise as shown in the figure below.

  • Click on the Print Application button to take a print out of the resume.

  • If a photo of the student needs to be Re-uploaded, Select Yes Option in the Dropdown

19] To take Print out of individual resume through Resume ID.

  • Click on the Print Resume button as shown in the figure above

  • Enter the Resume ID in the textbox provided and click on the the Search button

  • Click on the Print button to take a print out of your resume.

Online filing of student resume entry for freshers admitted to I/III Sem UG/PG programs has been enabled through web-based applications, and the same is available on https://resume.vtu.ac.in.

The schedule of submission of resumes is as under:

Freshers admitted to the first or third semester of Undergraduate or Postgraduate courses can fill the resume applications online at vtu website https://resume.vtu.ac.in.

Steps to fill the online application form
1.Students need to approach the designated staff member to fill and submit the resume online.
2.Printout of the resume submitted online should be signed by the student and sent to the Principal for approval.
3.Based on the resume submitted, USN will be generated for the approved candidates.

HOW TO FILL VTU CANDIDATE RESUME FOR IST SEMESTER AND 3RD SEMESTER (LATERAL ENTRY ONLY)

  1. Go to the website www.resume.vtu.ac.in
  2. A candidate resume form will appear on your screen.
  3. In the form, you need to first select UG or PG

Select UG if you are

  1. B.E. or B.Tech student
  2. B.Arch student

Select PG if you are

  1. M.E. or M.Tech student
  2. MBA student
  3. MCA student
  1. Candidate's name: For the candidate's name, enter your full name as it appears in your X Std. marks card.

  2. Father's name: Enter your father's name as it appears in your class 10th (SSLC) marks card.

  3. College: Select your college from the list of colleges in the dropdown menu.

  4. Branch: Select your engineering branch from the drop-down menu.

  5. Date of admission: Click on the button next to the field where you need to enter the date, a calendar will pop up and select the date that is in your receipt which you received from the college at the time of admission.

  6. Date of birth: Similarly select the date of birth from the calendar.

  7. Gender: Select the gender either male or female.

  8. Student joining semester: Select 1st semester if you have joined after 10 plus 2 or PUC. Select 3rd semester, for lateral entry (Diploma) students.

  9. Nationality: Indian- If not Indian, specify the country you belong to.

  10. Rural/Urban: Select Rural, if you have taken seat under the rural category. Otherwise, select Urban.

  11. Religion: Specify your religion. Example: Hindu, Muslim, Christian etc. If you are not sure, you can leave it blank.

  12. Details of entrance test: Enter the seat number and the rank you obtained in the appropriate entrance test through which you got admitted to the course.

  13. Admission quota: Select the appropriate admission quota from the drop down menu.

  14. Actual Category: Select the reservation category you belong to from the drop-down menu.

  15. Seat claimed category: If you have claimed a seat in a category to which you do not belong due to the unavailability of a seat, select the category in which you obtained admission.

  16. Other reservation: Select the suitable reservation category. If you do not belong to any reservation category, select NOT APPLICABLE.

  17. (10 + 2) students studied in Karnataka: Select Yes, if you have completed 10 plus 2 or PUC in Karnataka. If not, select NO and specify the state in which you completed ten plus two or PUC.

  18. Diploma studied in Karnataka: This is applicable only for lateral entry (Diploma) students. Ist Semester students can leave this blank.

  19. Degree studied in Karnataka:
     
    1. If you have selected UG in the beginning, you can leave this blank.
    2. If you have selected PG, select the appropriate.

  20. Address:1: Enter your Permanent address or your primary contact address.

  21. Address-2: Enter your temporary address as your current address. If your current address and permanent address are the same, you can leave this blank.

  22. Phone number: Enter your phone number, if any.

  23. Cell Number: Enter your mobile number, if any.
