Last Chance to Clear Bridge Courses & get Engineering Degree

As per the latest VTU Notification, Visvesvaraya Technological University will grant additional two attempts to BE/ BTech Lateral entry students to clear the Bridge courses for award of degree. However, you must meet the below conditions:

1. This is applicable to Lateral entry students admitted till 2013-14.

2. You must have completed the course and cleared all the subjects except the bridge courses.

3. Exam fee is Rs 2,000 per subject.

4.You are not eligible for this benefit if you have any backlogs other than the bridge courses.

5. The University will announce the examination schedule separately at least 6 months in advance of the proposed date.

6. The above benefit is applicable to Autonomous colleges also.

Last Chance to Clear Backlogs & Get Engineering Degree

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) vide the official notification VTU/BGM/Aca-OS-clrs/2021-22/1708 dated 29th July, 2021 based on the executive meeting held on 23rd July, 2021 and after the approval by the University vice chancellor decides to provide two more chances to the Regular students of 2009-10 & 2010-11 batch B.E./ B.Tech and Lateral entry students of 2011-12 & 2012-13 batch B.E/B.Tech.

This would be a one time chance for the above mentioned batches to clear the backlogs and get the Degree certificate.

Eligibility Criteria to Use this chance to clear your backlogs:

1. This benefit can by availed only by those students who have not availed a similar chance in 2018-19 earlier as per the notification: VTU/BGM/OS/Aca/2018-19/6386 dated 27th October 2018.
2. This one time chance of 2 consecutive attempts to clear backlogs is applicable to only those students who have completed the UG engineering course in full i.e. attended all the semester end examinations at least once.

   B.E/B.Tech Regular Students	2009-10 & 2010-11	Two consecutive additional attempts [July 2021 and Jan 2022] semester Exams (Whenever they are conducted)
   B.E/B.Tech Lateral Entry Students	2011-12 & 2012-13

3. This benefit is not applicable to those students, who have not completed the course in full.

These special additional attempts granted are due to special circumstances arising out of the pandemic/other similar difficult situation and shall not be treated as precedence. Hence, the students availing this benefit shall file an undertaking/ affidavit (format provided) in Rs. 100/- bond paper. The same shall be submitted to Registrar(Evaluation) while filing the VTU Exam application form.

Exam Fees for this Special Benefit:

Rs. 2,000/- per subject per examination up to a maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per semester
