VTU Orders Closure of 6 Engineering Colleges

VTU Orders Closure of 6 Engineering Colleges. Out of the six colleges, two colleges are from Bengaluru. Visvesvaraya Technological University has made the closure order applicable from the academic year 2021-22. As per the latest press release from the University, the six engineering colleges will be closed, and VTU will withdraw the current affiliation. 

The six colleges closed are Alpha College of Engineering, Bengaluru, Shaikh College of Engineering, Belagavi, Islamiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Ekalavya Institute of Technology, Chamarajnagar, Sri Vinayaka Institute of Technology, KGF, BTL Institute of Technology and Management, Bengaluru.

If you are a student studying in any of these six colleges, you will be re-allotted to other affiliated colleges. The University will notify regarding the re-allotment process separately. However, if you are a student seeking new admission to any of these six colleges, you need to be aware of the above details and use your discretion while seeking admission to a college.
