Christ University is a private deemed university that had a humble start in 1969. It started with 379 students, and today thousands of students every year take one step further towards fulfilling their dreams. The institution was then a college with a handful of courses but took leaps and strides towards becoming a world-class university now.

Shedding light on its glorious history, it became one of the first institutions in India to be recognised by the NAAC in 1998. Then, the university received its autonomous title from UGC in 2004. And then, it was identified as an institute with Potential For Excellence in 2006. And finally, 2008 saw the institute getting the title of a deemed university. Despite its humble beginning, the university has five campuses in India- Bengaluru Central Campus, Bannerghatta Road Campus, Christ University Kengeri Campus, Delhi-NCR Campus, Pune-Lavasa Campus.

 

Christ University Ranking

Christ University Bangalore has carved a niche for itself in all these years, especially in Commerce. Some rankings that illustrate the university’s work are:

1. 2nd ranking for BCA in 2019 by India Today
2. 5th ranking for Commerce in 2019 by India today again

Christ University Bangalore Admission 2021

Below are the steps to apply for Christ University admissions:

1.You must register on the admission page of the official website of Christ University.

2.You will receive either OTP from CHRIST sender ID or email from @christuniversity.in domain. Verify the same.

3.Ensure that you fill in the application form available online.

4.You must upload photographs.

5.Now, you must pay your application fees online.

6.You may check the status of your application at https://app.christuniversity.in

The University has put in place a standard selection process for admission to undergraduate programs and postgraduate programs. It conducts five rounds of entrance tests.

The University conducts its entrance test called CUET (Christ University Entrance Test) to take admissions. It runs the entrance test online as per the date on your e-admit card. In addition, applicants must fill the Christ University application form 2021 and submit it offline or online. Henceforth you will be required to take CUET and pass an interview. Then you will be selected based on merit, CUET cut-offs, and interview marks.

Scholarships

Christ University has developed a range of scholarships for deserving students and students from economically weaker sections to help students pursue higher education.

Below are the scholarships

1.Merit Scholarship

• Each Combination is considered for two merit scholarships.
• It awards merit scholarship in September each year.
• Eligibility:

           1st year: The scholarship is based on the merit of the pre-entry marks, mid-semester test and attendance in regular classes.

            2nd to 4th year: Based on performance in one end-semester and two mid-semester exams each year.

• Scholarship Amount: The fee refund/ reduction is as follows:

2.Scholarship for Financial Assistance:

• Students from economically weaker sections can apply for the scholarships with supporting documents at the time of admission.
• Student must sign a bond that the student will refund the scholarship amount if he or she leaves the university in between.
• Eligibility:
• Scholarship amount: The percentage of fee concession for different categories is as follows:

•   2nd year onwards: You must avail of the application forms from the Office of Awards and Scholarships from 30th November to 22nd December and submit them to the office by 20th January.    

    

3.Installment Facility

If you cannot pay your fees in full at the time of admission, you may opt to pay in instalments. The University also offers an instalment facility to students that you can avail of by filling the prescribed application form at the admissions office. However, this facility is available only if the total fees exceed Rs 10,000. You will have an option to pay the fees in one or two instalments.

 

4.Alumni Association Scholarships

The Alumni Association of CHRIST maintains a Alumni Fund , through which it helps needy students. To avail of this scholarship, you can visit the Alumni Office, Room No:122, Innovation Centre, 1st Floor, IV Block.

 

Christ University Placements

Christ University shines here as well. They understand the value of placements for a student and make conscious efforts to teach employable skills. In addition, they train students for group discussions, interviews, and aptitude. 2019 placement drive was highly successful and reflected the results of these efforts. The highest package received was ₹ 13.12 LPA and the lowest ₹ 6 LPA. Reputed companies like Deloitte, Accenture, Amazon, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, Ernst & Young, KPMG, etc.
