VTU Online Courses 2023 for Post Graduate Students

Visveswaraya Technological University has announced two VTU online courses for PG students one in the 1st semester and the other in the 2nd semester. There are 2 types of courses as below:

1. Audit courses

These are prerequisite courses suggested by the BOS for the programs.

2. Ability Enhancement courses/ Skill Enhancement courses

These courses are prescribed for students to enhance their skills in their field of specialization to increase their chances of employment.

 

Important points

1. The courses prescribed under the above 2 categories are online courses published and approved by BOS.

2. You may register for the Audit/ Ability Enhancement courses after consulting your mentor and is mandatory during the concerned semester.

3. If you do not appear for the proctored examination or fails to pass the selected online course, you may appear for the same course in the next session and register or pass in that session.

4. The VTU online courses- Audit courses and Ability enhancement courses carry no credit and are not counted for vertical progression. However, for the award of the degree, pass in these online courses is mandatory.

5. Online courses will be courses other than the courses given in the syllabus.

6. If suitable courses are not available, the mentor will suggest courses from the NPTEL

7. The NPTEL publishes courses list to be offered for January-June and JUly-December sessions of every year.

 

VTU Circular
