VTU BE Honours Registration 2023 Applications Invited

VTU BE Honours Registration applications are invited for 2022-23. Eligible students can apply for registration to B.E./ B.Tech. Honours Degree Programme for the academic year 2022-23. Students may refer to the below eligibility criteria before applying for the BE Honours Degree Programme.

Eligibility for BE Honours Registration:

1.You are eligible to register at the 5th semester by paying a one-time registration fee of Rs 1000 which is nonrefundable.

2. Obtaining a Grade greater than or equal to D in all the courses in all semesters until the 4th semester on the first attempt only can register.

3. CGPA greater than or equal to 8.5 at the end of the 4th semester is a must.

4. Completion of Additional mathematics I and II during the 3rd and 4th semesters on the first attempt is a must for the Diploma lateral entry students.

5. The BSc Lateral entry students should have completed the Engineering Graphics and Elements of Civil Engineering by the end of the 4th semester on the first attempt only.

Process for Registration

1. You can register online at https://prexam.vtu.ac.in and select Honors registration.

2 The College has to assist the student in registration and autonomous colleges has to verify and approve the registrations.

3 Registration fees of Rs 1000 must be paid online.

4. BE Honors registration for the academic year 2022-23 is permitted only to students with USN XXX20XXXXX(Regular), USN XXX21XX4XX (Diploma lateral entry) and USN XXX21XX6XX (BSc lateral entry).

VTU BE Honours Registration applications are invited for the academic year 2021-22. Eligible students can apply for registration to B.E./ B.Tech. Honours Degree Programme for the academic year 2021-22. Students may refer to the below eligibility criteria before applying for the BE Honours Degree Programme.

I. Eligibility for BE Honours Registration:

VTU BE Honours Registration Eligibility Criteria VTU starts the BE Honours Registration process from the 5th semester onwards.

Following are the eligibility criteria that a student must fulfill to register for Honours.

1. You must obtain a grade greater than or equal to a D in all the courses in semesters from 1st to 4th on the first attempt only.
2. You must have a CGPA greater than or equal to 8.50 at the end of the 4th semester.
3. If you are a lateral entry diploma student, you must complete Additional Mathematics I & II during the 3rd and 4th semesters in the first attempt only.
4. Suppose you are a lateral entry BSc student. In that case, you must complete Engineering Graphics and Elements of Civil Engineering of 1st year BE by the end of the 4th semester in the first attempt only.

 

II. Procedure for BE Honours Registration:

1. The students have to complete the enclosed application and submit it through the Principal of the respective college

2. Registration is allowed only to students with USN XXX19XXXXX(Regular), USN XXX20XX4XX (Diploma Lateral Entry), and USN XXX19XX6XX (B.Sc. Lateral Entry) for the year (2021-22)

3.No limit on the intake for registration to B.E./B.Tech honors.

4. The registrants must comply with the VTU Regulations Governing the award of 'Honours' at B.E/B.Tech. Degree programs.

III	Last date for application by the student at College:	10 days from the announcement of results/issue of this notification, whichever is later.
IV	Last date for submission of the list for approval by the College along with the registration fee to the University (format enclosed):	10 days from III above.

5. The colleges shall maintain the database of such registered students along with the details of their courses completed for obtaining additional credits for the award of the Honours Degree. The additional credits obtained after registration will only be considered.

6. The Colleges are requested to advice and mentor the students with reference to the conditions prescribed by the University in its Regulations Governing the Degree of B.E./B.Tech. Honours 2020-2l(visit https://vtu.ac.in/en/b-e-b-tech­-regulations-honours/ for regulations).
