As per recent VTU notification, the VTU Convocation 2023 will be held on 24th February 2023 in two sessions. In the first session Degree will be awarded to all the Gold Medalists and First Rank Holders in the Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes of the academic year 2021-2022. And in the second session, Ph.D Degree certificates will be issued for the academic year 2021-22.

Instructions to Candidates
- You must enter the Auditorium only as per the applicable session.
- Dress code: White dress as mentioned in the University website
- Ensure that you report to the auditorium atleast half an hour before the convocation program.
- COVID-19 protocols must be followed.
- Ensure that you give a standing ovation when the Ho'ble Governor of Karnataka, the chacellor and the other dignitaries enter the hall.
- You must maintain silence and discipline throught the function.
- Ensure that you switch off your mobile phone in the premises.
- You must not leave the hall until th dignitaries leave the hall.
- Ensure that you follow the instructions issued by the Registrar (Evaluation) regarding registration and convocation.

VTU Convocation 2022 Application Form Submission
As per recent notification, VTU announced 22nd Convocation 2022 application form submission date. The final semester students of UG and PG courses may submit their convocation application forms online from 22nd June 2022 along with the fees. The 22nd annual Convocation date will be announced later.
Instructions to students for submission of Convocation forms
1.PG and UG students appearing for final semester exam may submit their application form for the 22nd VTU convocation.
2. You may use the credentials used to submit your exam application form for the submission of convocation form.
3. You may submit your convocation application form online via link https://convocation.vtu.ac.in
4. You must finalize your convocation application form and pay the fees of Rs 800 for Indian National and $200 for Foreign National. The convocation fees is the same for Constituent and affiliated engineering college.
5. Once you finalize your application form and pay the fees, your department or college will approve the same.

VTU announces Rank Holders and Gold Medalists List. The First Rank Holders and Gold Medalists will receive their degrees from Shri. Vajubhai Vala, the Chancellor of the University during VTU Convocation 2021. Also, the rank holders other than first rank holders must collect their degree certificates from the Registrar's office (Evaluation), VTU, Belagavi.

Instructions to First Rank Holders and Gold Medalists
First Rank Holders and Gold Medalist must follow the below instructions during VTU Convocation 2021.
Participation in VTU Convocation 2021:
1. If you want to participate in the Convocation, you must send 2 stamp size photos attested by your principal so that your ID cards will be ready at the registration desk.
Online Registration
1.You must register online for confirming your participation. Register at https://convocation.vtu.ac.in
2.Online Registration is open from 30th March 2021 to 1st April 2021.
3.You must bring a printout of the Registration slip and a photo identity proof to enter the VTU campus during Convocation.
Entry to VTU Campus
1.You will not be allowed for the VTU Convocation if you have any symptoms like fever/cold/cough.
2.You must submit a Covid-19 negative Certificate (RT-PCR) of the test conducted less than 72 hours before the date and time of convocation.
3.If you are coming by vehicle, the driver must possess a Covid-19 negative certificate, and he should not move out of the vehicle.
4.For Gold medalists and Prize Winners, the reporting time is 9.00 am, and 10.00 am.
5.If you are a recipient of a Gold medal or prize winner, you can attend the convocation only if you confirm your participation by registering online.
6.Dress code for Male: White Formal Trouser and White shirt
Dress code for Female: White Saree with any colour border or White formal dress.
7.You must bring a photo identity card.
8.VTU will allow only one parent with gold medalists and prize winners. And the parent must submit a Covid-19 negative Certificate (RT-PCR) of the test conducted less than 72 hours before the date and time of convocation.
9.Parents accompanying the gold medalists and prize winners must follow SOPs and sit at the assigned place.
10.Only breakfast and lunch is provided to the participants. VTU will not provide any other facility.
Offline Registration and collection of Stole
1.You must enrol yourself immediately for the convocation after entering the campus at specified counters.
2.If you are a degree recipient, you can have breakfast at the food court assigned for you.
3.You must deposit a refundable security deposit of Rs 1000 at the assigned area and collect the stole.
VTU Degree Certificate for Others
You can collect your degree certificates from the VTU Registrar (Evaluation) on 4th April 2021. It applies to all the students other than gold medalists and first rank holders.

Instructions to Collect VTU Degree Certificate for Others
1.You must report to the VTU campus before 12 pm.
2.You must submit a Covid-19 negative Certificate (RT-PCR) of the test conducted less than 72 hours before 4th April 2021.
3.You must bring a photo identity card and the Covid-19 negative certificate and produce it at the campus entrance.
4.You must register yourself on the ground floor of the admin building of VTU to collect your degree certificate.
5.The registration closes at 12.30 pm.
6.VTU will issue your degree certificates after 2.30 pm.
7.You must maintain discipline, wear a mask and maintain social distance.

Instructions to Degree Awardees of PhD, Integrated Dual Degree and MSc(Engg) by Research
The degree awardees must follow the below instructions
1. You must register online
2. Visit https://convocation.vtu.ac.in to register online.
3. Ensure that you only enter your guide name while registering. Do not enter Dr. /Prof./Shri./Smt.
4. You can register online from 26th Mar 2021. The last date to register is 3rd April 2021 up to 10 am.
5. Bring a printout of the registration slip and Photo Identity to enter VTU Campus.
Entry to the Campus

Occupying assigned chairs outside the Auditorium
1.Due to a large number of Awardees, VTU has made temporary seating arrangements outside the Auditorium to maintain social distancing.
2.You must occupy your assigned chairs outside the auditorium.
3.VTU will allow entry to the auditorium in a staggered manner to adhere to the Covid – 19 restrictions. So, students must maintain discipline.
4.Groupings is done as per the SOPs issued from the Government.
5.To enter the convocation premises, you must follow the instructions given from time to time.
6.You must ensure that you are present at the assigned area outside the auditorium before 3 pm.
The University will take 7. Punishment or disciplinary action against any breach of protocol.
8.You may proceed to the convocation premises as per the instructions given from time to time.
Occupying assigned Chairs in the Auditorium and Receiving the degree
1.You must occupy the assigned chairs only.
2.Inside the auditorium, photography, cross talks, movements, and loitering is not allowed.
3.You must maintain the highest discipline and silence in the convocation premises.
4.Also, wear Mask, maintain Social Distance and follow COVID-19 SOPs.
5.You must ensure that you switch off your mobile phones in the Convocation premises.
6.During the convocation ceremony, you must follow the instructions given from time to time.
After receiving the degree from the dignitaries, you must proceed out of the convocation premises immediately through the exit adjacent to the stage.

The Twentieth Annual Convocation of VTU is scheduled to be held on Saturday, the 3rd April 2021, at 12-00 noon, in the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium of VTU, "Jnana Sangama ", Belagavi. The awardees of degree are hereby cordially invited to attend the Convocation. The VTU Convocation Certificates for the year 2019-20 will be distributed in 2 sessions.
Please note that as the COVID-19 pandemic SOPs are to be followed, the Convocation Ceremony will be held in two sessions, as mentioned below:
VTU Convocation Certificate 2021 Session Details
First Session: 12-00 noon to 1-20 p.m.
Degree Awarding Ceremony
The degree will be awarded to all the Gold Medalists and First Rank Holders in the Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes of the academic year 2019-2020.
Second Session: 4-00 p.m. to 5-30 p.m.
PhD will be awarded to the eligible candidates of the academic year 2019-2020.
VTU Convocation 2021: Important points to note for candidates
All the candidates are required to note the following:
The candidates shall :
• Enter the Auditorium only as per their applicable session as mentioned above.
• Be present in the Auditorium with neat white dress as mentioned in the University Website
• Occupy the seats in the Auditorium at least half an hour earlier to the commencement of Convocation function
• Wear Mask, maintain social distance and follow the SOPs prescribed.
• Candidates having any symptoms of fever/ cold/ cough, are advised not the attend the Convocation Ceremony.
• Standup when Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka the Chancellor and other dignitaries enters the hall and occupies the chairs
• Maintain silence and discipline throughout the function.
• Switch off mobile phone in the premises
• Not to leave their position till Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka the Chancellor and other dignitaries, leaves the hall after the function is over
• Follow the instructions issued by the Registrar(Evaluation) regarding Registration and other details of Convocation.
VTU Degree Certificate for Others
Other candidates, who wish to collect the Degree Certificates personally, can collect the same from the Office of the Registrar (Eval.) the next day on 4th April during the office hours on producing valid identity card issued by the college. For others, the certificate will be sent by Post immediately after the Convocation.

VTU announces VTU Convocation Online Registration of 1st Rank Holders, Gold Medalists and Ph.d. Degree Holders for the 19th Annual Convocation. The First Rank Holders, Gold Medalists and Ph.d. Degree Holders who are eligible to receive their medals, prizes and Certificates during the 19th Annual Convocation of VTU on 8th February 2020 are hereby informed to register for the 19th Annual through web portal at https://convocation.vtu.ac.in
Requirements for VTU Convocation online registration :
1.University Seat Number
2.CGPA ofthe Registrant at the end of final sem for gold medalists and 1st rank holders and Name of the guide as in VTU records for PhD/MSc Engg by research.
3.Passport Size Photo scanned for size less than 40 Kb Kindly furnish all the required information before 6th February 2020.
NOTE :
1.The Second list of Ph.D. Degree holders will be uploaded on 7th February 2020 at 9.00 p.m. The Ph.D. Degree holders who will be listed in the said list are required to register for the convocation immediately.
2.THE REGISTRATION TO CONVOCATION IS ONLY FOR FIRST RANK HOLDER, GOLD MEDALISTS AND PH.D.DEGREE HOLDERS.
The Principals of affiliated engineering college are requested to instruct Rank Holders, Gold Medalists and Ph.D. Degree holders to register.
Steps to Online Registration for 19th Annual Convocation
1.Go the Online Registration for 19th Annual Convocation Portal https://convocation.vtu.ac.in
2.In the below screen select the appropriate course.
3.If you are a gold medalist or a 1st rank holder fro Under graduate course
Select UG, Enter university seat number, name and your CGPA at the end of final sem in the appropriate fields and click on submit to register.
4.If you are a gold medalist or a 1st rank holder from Post graduate course
Select PG, Enter university seat number, name and your CGPA at the end of final sem in the appropriate fields and click on submit to register.
5.If you are a PhD degree holder Select PHD,
Enter university seat number, name and name of the guide as in VTU records for PhD in the appropriate fields and click on submit to register.
6.If you are a MSc Engg by research degree holder Select MSC,
Enter university seat number, name and name of the guide as in VTU records for MSc Engg by research in the appropriate fields and click on submit to register.

VTU announces VTU Rank list and Gold Medallists
The First Rank Holders and Gold Medallists will be receiving their degrees from the Chancellor of the University Shri. Vajubhai Vala during the convocation ceremony held on 8th February 2020 at 11.00 a.m.
The other rank holders may collect their degree certificates and rank certificate from the Registrar (Evaluation), VTU after 3.00 p.m.on 8th February 2020.
VTU allows participation of ll Rank holdersand gold medalists in the Convocation provided you confirm your registration. You must register yourself to confirm your participation and send two stamp size photographs duly attested by your Principal.The University will intimate the registration link shortly.

Dress Code during VTU 19th Annual Convocation
All the candidates who would be participating as well as receiving degrees in person during the 19th Annual Convocation to be held on 8-2-2020 at VTU, Belagavi are required to follow the dress code as mentioned below. This is as per the directions of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
1)Girls: White Saree or White Salwar Cameez and Dupatta made of Handloom fabric.
2)Boys: White Shirt with Full Sleeves and White Pant made of Handloom fabric.
Hence, you are hereby requested to bring this circular to the notice of all the concerned candidates of your college and inform them to follow the above guidelines strictly without fail.

VTU will hold the Nineteenth Annual Convocation of VTU on 8th February 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium of VTU, "Jnana Sangama", Belagavi.
Convocation 2020: Points to note by candidates
- You must wear a white dress or the prescribed dress code and be present in the Auditorium.
- It would be best if you were seated the Auditorium seats half an hour before the convocation.
- Standup when Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka the Chancellor enters the hall and occupies the chair
- Maintain silence and discipline throughout the function.

Awarding or collection of Degree certificate and dates
Degree will be awarded by the Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka, only for Gold Medalists and First Rank Holders in the Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes and Ph.D awardees during the academic year 2018-19, at the time of Convocation.
Others who wish to collect the Degree Certificates personally, can collect them from the Office of the Registrar (Eval.) after the Convocation Ceremony on 8th February itself, or on 10th February during the office hours on producing valid identity card issued by the college. For others, the certificate will be sent by Post immediately after the Convocation
VTU Convocation 2019 date
VTU will hold the Eighteenth Annual VTU Convocation 2019 on 18th March 2019, at 11 a.m, in the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium of VTU, "Jnana Sangama", Belagavi. The awardees of degree are hereby cordially invited to attend the Convocation.
Convocation 2019: Points to note by candidates
The candidates shall :
- Be present in the Auditorium with neat white dress only
- Occupy the seats in the Auditorium at least half an hour earlier to the commencement of Convocation function
- Standup when Hon'ble Vice President of lndia and Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka the Chancellor enters the hall and occupies the chair
- Maintain silence and discipline throughout the function. o Switch off mobile phone in the premises
- Not to leave their position till Hon'ble Vice President of lndia and Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka the Chancellor, leaves the hall after the function is over.
Awarding or collection of Degree certificate and dates
Degree will be awarded by the Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka, only for Gold Medalists and First Rank Holders in the Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes and Ph.D awardees during the academic year 20'17-18, at the time of Convocation.

UPDATE: Change in Time and Venue of Eighteenth Annual VTU Convocation
Time: VTU Convocation will be held on Monday, the 18th Mar 2019 at 10.00 am.
Venue: The venue is changed to Jnana Sangama Campus of VTU, Belagavi.
