VTU PhD Pre-Submisssion Colloquium Through Video Conference

The Periodic reviews, Open Seminar presentations and Pre-Submission Colloquium of Research Scholars could be conducted through Video Conference using suitable digital platform or mutually convenient technology , in compliance with the existing norms of the University, until further orders.

It may be ensured that, with the mutual consent of all involved members, it will be scheduled and open to attendence for all faculty members of the department, research scholars and other interested experts/ researchers, as applicable.

 

Note:

1.Submit the respective signed report along with the Video Conference Report to the undersigned.

2.The video record should be retained at Research Center and to be produced for future verification purposes.

3.Refer VTU website (https://vtu.ac.in/en/ph-d-by-research-2/) for Video Conference Report format.

Amendment to the instructions/procedures related to Ph.D. and M.Sc.(Engg.) by Research mentioned in earlier circular With reference to the subject cited above, the following amendment has been made in respect to Ph.D. and M.Sc.(Engg.) by Research- remuneration

• Bill vouchers/receipts used to claim the reimbursement for Ph.D./ M.Sc.(Engg.) by Research viva voce examination should compulsorily have GST/ TIN number. The bill vouchers/receipts without GST/ TIN will not be processed.

Further, with reference to earlier circulated dated 5th July 2019 and 5th September 2019, the following instruction is not being followed and all the concerned research centers are informed to strictly follow the circular:

• The remuneration pertaining to Final Ph.D. via-voce and Comprehensive viva-voce & TA/ DA for examiners shall be paid as per university norms by respective Principals /Heads of Institutions/Research Centers and can be claimed from the university.
